Les Village witnessed a special 4-day celebration to mark Amisewaka-DLCC’s first anniversary. We decided that the joyous milestone would be about service and social activities to benefit the community.
The event commenced on July 18, with an Area Cleaning at eight temples located in Desa Les. In the spirit of togetherness, all students and staff of Amisewaka-DLCC cleaned the temples of plastic waste, weeds, and dry leaves. The DLCC also cleaned the local beach to raise awareness about preserving marine ecosystems and conservation.
Not to focus exclusively on the environment, Amisewaka-DLCC organized an affordable market and free health check-ups for the local community. This gave the center an opportunity to introduce its weekly market, Ami-Mart, which offers organic vegetables, healthy cakes and bread, as well as various food and beverage menus.
On the third day of the celebration Amisewaka-DLCC hosted a blood drive, where staff, students, and local tourism industry representatives came together to donate blood for the Indonesian Red Cross in Buleleng Regency.
In addition to the community events, we hosted activities for staff, which included a Pranic Healing session. The aim was to provide care to all staff, thus helping them maintain positive energy levels to support their performances. The activities culminated in a talent show, where members of the Amisewaka-DLCC family (staff and students) showcased their creative talents.
The event was made possible thanks to the assistance of Amicorp Community Foundation, several vendors and associated banks, and the donors who support Amisewaka-DLCC. Every contribution brings positive change, leaving a mark of love and compassion in the hearts of Desa Les and its surrounding villages. This series of activities emphasize the importance of community empathy and unity, bringing a sense of happiness and togetherness to staff and students, and ultimately serving as an inspirational example for everyone involved.
