CULINARY AND HOSPITALITY SERVICES
Amisewaka offers professional, hands-on culinary and hospitality training focused on food and beverages. Our state-of-the-art facilities include a five-star kitchen and a 30-seater restaurant, providing a real-world learning environment where students master the latest culinary and service techniques. With an emphasis on the use of local ingredients in both traditional and innovative dishes, students will learn from industry experts, including guest chefs from the island's renowned restaurants, under the guidance of our experienced culinary instructors.
What qualifications do our students earn at Amisewaka?
We offer two distinct qualifications: Culinary Arts and Food and Beverage Services. Students choose one major, with the other subject becoming their minor. Food and Beverage Service (Wait Service), is designed to equip students with professional food and beverage service skills. This program focuses on training students in proper serving techniques and food presentation following hospitality industry standards.
Training courses include:
- Basic English Communication: Students will learn effective communication techniques in English to confidently serve international customers
- Basic Computer Training: Students will be introduced to office applications like Microsoft Office to support administrative tasks in the hospitality industry
- Living Values Education: This program instills core values to strengthen students' character and integrity
- Professional Conduct Training: Students will learn workplace ethics and professionalism standards required in the tourism and hospitality industry
- Basic Social Entrepreneurship: This module covers basic accounting and simple business analysis to develop entrepreneurial thinking
- Basic Cooking Skills: Students will gain introductory cooking skills to understand the preparation process of dishes they serve
- Permaculture: Organic Farming Training: This module provides knowledge about herbs and spices essential for culinary and hospitality needs
Both programs are open to students with high motivation to build a future in the restaurant, hotel, or related industries. For the FBS module, students need to have strong English communication skills. Students will be guided to develop technical skills and the character required to succeed professionally.
