Meet Ary, one of our students at Amisewaka – DLCC. He lives in a very small two–room house with his parents and younger brother, who is still in junior high school. Their home, located about four kilometers from campus, is situated on land borrowed from his mother’s relatives. They pay their neighbors monthly for the electricity they use.
Ary’s life has always been challenging. Despite his love for fishing with friends, he has little free time due to his family responsibilities. After high school, he had to put his educational dreams on hold to help make ends meet. He took on various jobs, from construction work and car washing to motorcycle repair in a small workshop. His father works as a seasonal fruit picker, while his mother prepares offerings for Hindu ceremonies. Despite these hardships, Ary never lost sight of a brighter future.
The opening of Amisewaka – DLCC’s third-batch admissions presented Ary with an opportunity to pursue his dreams. He applied, hoping for donor support to continue his education. His dream became a reality when he was accepted as a student. Soon, he will embark on a six-month internship program at a prestigious 4 or 5–star hotel.
Every step Ary takes, every dream he chases, is fueled by his belief that hope shines even in the face of limitations.
