Amisewaka-DLCC’s first batch of students excel in Competency Exam

Amisewaka-DLCC’s first batch of culinary students, who commenced their studies nine months ago, reached a crucial milestone in their academic journey. Upon successfully securing on-the-job training positions at major hotels and restaurants in Bali’s central region, these students were required to sit for a competency exam to obtain a Certificate of Competency. This certificate served as evidence of their culinary proficiency, enabling them to enter the demanding tourism industry with confidence. By validating their expertise and enhancing their professional credibility, the certificate gave them a significant advantage in their field of choice. The students’ outstanding performance in the exam further underscored the effectiveness of Amisewaka-DLCC’s culinary education program.

Amisewaka-DLCC is a vocational training center that collaborates with the Professional Certification Agency, Pariwisata Nugraha International (LSP PNI), acting as an extended arm of BNSP Indonesia (National Professional Certification Agency). LSP PNI provided ten assessors who evaluated 95 competency exam participants from April 3 to 5, 2023. The three-day assessment included written, oral, and practical exams tailored to each participant’s area of expertise in the culinary arts.

All 95 participants were recommended as competent by the assessors and will receive a certificate of competence from BNSP. In addition to the successful results, the assessors praised the Amisewaka-DLCC students for demonstrating their proficiency in culinary arts. They were impressed with the students’ mastery of ingredients, cutting, cooking, and plating techniques.

Celebrity and Executive Chef, Juna Rorimpandey, created a motivational video for the Amisewaka-DLCC students just before renewing his own Competency Exam (an accreditation that is renewed triennially). Chef Juna conveyed the importance of taking the competency exam as a crucial step in job-seeking. The students’ competency certificates will soon be presented to them by BNSP, and we eagerly await their future successes in the culinary industry.
