The Bali Reforestation Festival XVI is an annual reforestation event organized by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) that aims to turn barren areas once affected by volcanic eruptions green.
This year, the planting activities took place at the Mount Batur Nature Reserve (Batur UNESCO Global Geopark), Kintamani Yeh Mampeh Bali.
During the event, Amisewaka participated not only as a volunteer but also as a supporter by donating 5 tree seedlings. The staff involved included Rucina, Dewa, Mitha, Nanda, and Frans.
Each group that took part was given 30-50 tree seedlings, small bamboo poles as tree supports, and sufficient water to irrigate the planted seedlings. The organizing committee had prepared the planting holes before the event commenced.
A total of 4000 tree seedlings were planted, including pine trees as a preventive measure against fires. The planted trees are fast-growing species capable of reaching significant heights within 3 to 5 years.
As a part of environmentally friendly support for the reforestation event, participants also brought their own tumblers for refilling drinking water.
The Amisewaka-DLCC team is committed to continuing its efforts to actively participate in environmental conservation activities, whether in collaboration with the government, local communities, or independently.
