Amisewaka — DLCC (DLCC) proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of one of its students, Duwik, who received the Best Trainee award in the Food & Beverage Production Department during his industrial training at HARRIS Hotel Seminyak. This recognition is especially meaningful as it was awarded among approximately 30 trainees from various schools and training centers across Bali. The award acknowledges his dedication, professionalism, and commitment to excellence throughout his training period, while highlighting the importance of perseverance and continuous learning in building a successful career in hospitality.
During the six-month training program, Duwik gained valuable hands-on experience in a professional hospitality environment. The placement gave him the opportunity to understand hotel kitchen operations in depth while adapting to the fast-paced rhythm and high standards of the industry. Throughout this period, he strengthened his technical skills, improved his ability to work well within a team, refined his professional communication, and demonstrated a strong capacity to handle the daily challenges of a busy kitchen.
The Best Trainee award was granted based on a comprehensive assessment of each trainee’s performance and professionalism. Duwik stood out through his discipline, positive attitude, technical ability, and eagerness to keep improving. The knowledge and skills he gained at DLCC were further strengthened through real industry experience. In addition, his initiative, consistency, adaptability, and willingness to learn new things set him apart from his peers and played an important role in the recognition he received.
Reflecting on this achievement, Duwik shared that his main goal during training was to complete every task to the best of his ability. He believes that perseverance, dedication, and continuous learning were key factors in reaching this milestone. While grateful for the award, he sees it as the result of a meaningful learning journey rather than an endpoint.
Duwik’s success has also opened promising career opportunities. After being named Best Trainee, he was offered a position as a Daily Worker at HARRIS Hotel Seminyak. Several restaurants have also offered him chef positions, reflecting the industry’s confidence in his skills and potential. Despite these successes, he remains humble and committed to continued growth. He emphasizes that this achievement is only the beginning of his professional journey, and plans to keep improving his skills, expanding his knowledge, and striving for greater excellence.
This achievement is a source of pride for the entire DLCC community and further affirms the school’s mission to develop skilled, professional, and industry-ready hospitality talent. By combining academic knowledge, practical training, character development, and industry exposure, DLCC continues to prepare students for the evolving needs of the hospitality sector. Duwik’s achievement demonstrates the effectiveness of this approach and inspires future students to pursue their goals with dedication, professionalism, and a spirit of lifelong learning.
