In order to improve access to dental health services for the residents of Les village, a historic agreement has been reached between Amisewaka – DLCC (Adi Sewaka Widya Foundation), the Les Village Government, and Tejakula I Health Center.
The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) marks a significant step in efforts to provide quality dental care services to the community, an often neglected area of healthcare.
The Amisewaka – DLCC team will provide the dental examination tools, which they have already bought to support this initiative, including a dental unit, light curing LED, compressor, air micromotor, sterilizer and scaler products.
The Les Village Government will support this by providing space, medications, and maintaining facilities necessary for dental examinations, while Tejakula I Health Center will provide skilled dental professionals that will ensure the health services provided adhere to medical standards.
The objective of this MOU signing is to establish a village-level dental health facility that offers free dental examination services to the community. These services will be available twice a week, with the hope of maximizing their impact so that the entire local community can benefit.
Many villagers are not accustomed to dental examinations due to cost constraints, so this collaboration between the three parties will have a significant impact. It is hoped that the existence of a village-level dental health facility providing free services will raise public awareness of the importance of maintaining dental health.
