Unforeseen and unplanned cases of emergency are an unfortunate part of life. This is why Amisewaka-DLCC, in collaboration with PMI (Indonesian First Aid Agency) Buleleng Regency, organized basic training on First Aid on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. The 8-hour training session is essential in preparing all Amisewaka-DLCC staff for occupational accidents and other emergency situations. The training covered several essential topics such as casualty assessment, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), bleeding and shock, soft injury, fractures, head, spine, and chest injuries, burns, and casualty transfer.
The four instructors were well-experienced in First Aid (one of them being a trained nurse) and were well-versed speakers or facilitators. The material presented was comprehensive and well-structured, with theoretical and practical approaches. Participants were allowed to practice directly on mannequins and were trained to communicate effectively with the medical team and patients.
Before training began, a pre-test was carried out to assess the initial knowledge of the trainees and as a reference point in determining the training material to be delivered. After the training, participants underwent a post-training assessment to measure the staff’s understanding of the training they had received, as well as to assess the efficacy of the training.
Throughout the training day, all Amisewaka-DLCC staff and management showed enthusiasm and total commitment across all theoretical and practical course activities, ultimately achieving positive results in the post-training assessments. Now, more than ever, we have full confidence in the Amisewaka-DLCC family to provide invaluable first-aid assistance in emergencies!
