Healthy Day at Amisewaka – DLCC

Bringing Health to the Community

Amisewaka – DLCC (“DLCC”) hosted a meaningful social event aimed at providing essential healthcare services to the local community by offering free health check-ups. Organized by the Bali International Women’s Association and Klinik Bali Sehat, this event was supported by various hospitals and foundations such as Siloam Hospital, Kasna Medika Hospital, the Rama Sesana Foundation, and the Bali Pink Reborn Foundation.

Over 600 people from nearby villages registered for the free health services, which included general check-ups, eye examinations, and physiotherapy. Children were given lessons on proper tooth-brushing techniques followed by oral and dental check-ups, while the Bali Pink Reborn Foundation led a women’s health seminar that offered IVA and Pap smear tests and distributed free medications.

In addition to health services, the event also addressed nutritional needs by distributing milk packages for children affected by stunting. To further support the community, the organizers provided food packages, dental care kits, hygiene products for women and men, catfish, and free second-hand clothing. Food vouchers and other items were distributed in each village by the village heads, targeting those in need.

The success of this event was largely due to the exceptional commitment of the organizers, led by the event’s chairman, Dr. Lanang Angga.   His tireless dedication and coordination ensured the smooth running of the event, tangibly benefiting the community. Dr. Lanang not only supervised but also actively participated in the health check-ups, demonstrating his genuine concern for and deep commitment to the community.

The community’s enthusiasm was evident throughout the day, with many expressing their gratitude for the free healthcare services and nutritional assistance, especially given the current economic challenges.

Throughout the day, the Ami-Mart (DLCC’s weekly market) team sold local snacks and beverages to those waiting for their check-ups, offering an opportunity to engage with the community and demonstrate their support.

Healthy Day at DLCC was more than just a social event; it was a real expression of care and collaboration to make a positive impact on the community. With a spirit of togetherness, this event became a memorable moment for everyone involved.
