The news channel CNN Indonesia has featured Amisewaka – Desa Les Community Center (DLCC) in a special edition. The footage, part of “CNN Heroes Indonesia” series, celebrates the long-standing contributions made by our project manager, Rucina Ballinger, to Bali and its people – with her work at Amisewaka – DLCC a big part of that.
Rucina has been employed by Amicorp Community Foundation (ACF) since 2014 and has been hands-on with all of the ACFs projects in Bali ever since. She worked alongside the architectural team and the local government to ensure that the ACFs sanitation project (725 Kamar Mandis) was a success and continued in her role to then play a central part in helping to bring Amisewaka – DLCC to life.
We are delighted that we have our first 100 students at the center. The center aims to empower young people with limited opportunities to find jobs and provide them with an education and skill set to boost confidence helping them gain access to employment.
