Every July, we are filled with immense joy as we celebrate the graduation ceremony of our diligent students. This special day marks the culmination of a year of hard work: six months mastering essential soft and hard skills on campus, followed by six months gaining invaluable experience in the culinary industry, where they poured their hearts into their craft. Many of our graduates have already secured employment, while others are strategically waiting until after this momentous occasion to begin their job search. Regardless of their next steps, every single graduate radiates confidence and pride – in themselves, in their supportive families, and in having successfully completed the Amisewaka — DLCC (“DLCC”) journey.
Our newest cohort, Batch 5, played an integral role in supporting the graduation festivities. With bright smiles and an understanding that their day will come in just 11 months, they enthusiastically assisted with a myriad of tasks. They helped prepare a delicious lunch in the kitchen, served drinks and snacks in the Café and Boardroom, expertly managed parking amidst a sea of motorbikes, lent a hand to the cleaning team, efficiently registered over 500 guests, and proudly sold our new food and drink products at AmiMart. Their contributions ensured a smooth and memorable event for everyone.
This year, we proudly celebrated 108 graduates: 13 from the January 2024 – January 2025 intake, and 95 from the June 2024 – June 2025 intake. Nearly all come from low-income families in the East Buleleng Regency of North Bali. Many live in difficult physical conditions, some without running water, and face emotional challenges too, often coming from broken homes.
Seeing these young people grow into independent, confident individuals is truly inspiring. It renews the entire DLCC team’s spirit to witness this transformation.
