Amisewaka – Desa Les Community Center Student Becomes Pizza-Making Class Instructor During Hotel Internship

Less than two months into her internship at a five-star hotel in Bali, Dwi Purwa Ningsing has already made a remarkable achievement. She is undergoing on-the-job training and has been entrusted with leading the hotel’s regular pizza-making class for guests. These classes cater to not only adults but also children and families, offering them a hands-on experience in making pizza under the guidance of the hotel’s kitchen team.

When she first joined, Dwi received mentoring from senior staff and chefs responsible for the hotel’s culinary department. She was trained in technical skills and communication, learning how to present and teach in front of an audience. In just her second session, she confidently led the class on her own, impressing both guests and hotel staff.

Dwi’s story is proof that talent can grow quickly when given the right opportunities. Coming from a small village where women are not typically encouraged to speak in public, she had little experience in public speaking. However, after joining Amisewaka – DLCC, she gained not only technical skills but also confidence and communication abilities—preparing her for the real-world challenges she now faces with success.

Dwi comes from a humble family—her parents are woodcarvers. But she has big dreams of working in the hospitality industry. From the beginning, she set her goal to intern at a five-star hotel, believing that mastering the standards and work culture there would make her future career steps easier. Her strong determination and eagerness to learn helped her absorb knowledge quickly, leading to recognition from the hotel management.

Dwi’s journey is just one of many inspiring stories from Amisewaka and we believe that every child has enormous potential when given the right support. That’s why we invite generous individuals and organizations to help sponsor our students’ education and training. By becoming a sponsor, you are not just helping one student, you are contributing to a brighter future for young people with big dreams, just like Dwi.
