Amisewaka-DLCC is pleased to introduce AMI-CUP, a sports event that aims to foster a closer relationship between Amisewaka-DLCC and the wider Desa Les community through the universal language of sports and competition. The inaugural AMI-CUP competition was a table tennis tournament, held on 11 May 2023, at the Amisewaka-DLCC hall. The event was eagerly anticipated by students, staff, and even members of the Les village and beyond.
The competition had high enrollment numbers for both singles and doubles categories as community members from the Les and Tejakula villages registered to participate in the event and showoff their skills.
While the Amicorp Community Foundation (ACF) highlights the children and families of Amisewaka-DLCC as the primary benefactors of the center, the foundation makes sure to engage with the wider community in order to foster sustainable development in the village.
This guiding principle is why ACF invites other organizations to contribute to activities and projects related to Amisewaka-DLCC; an invitation which The Body Shop Indonesia graciously accepted as main sponsors of the tournament by providing prizes to players in the competition.
Winners were determined by podium places, with third-place finishers receiving prizes with a total value of Rp. 700,000; second-place players received Rp. 990,000 in prizes; and first-place winners being gifted prizes worth Rp. 1,400,000!
In the end, the competition had everything you would want in an event like this: excitement, a high spirit of competition, teamwork and collaboration, and, of course, community support.
